Programme 2008-2010
Monitoring
Monitor the performance of the town centre and identify areas for improvement.
Mansfield town centre serves as a subregional centre for West Nottinghamshire and North East Derbyshire. It is important to develop a strong multi-functional town centre, and in particular, to strengthen Mansfield’s role as a sub-regional comparison shopping centre.
Why monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)?
- To formally demonstrate that a town centre partnership can co-ordinate, communicate and add value to the activities of a changing town centre.
- To measure progress locally year on year.
- To identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- To measure progress nationally compared to other similar towns, and regional competitors.
- To secure investment in the town centre, projects, and the Partnership.
- To provide the Partnership members with useful, current data, to assist decision-making and planning.
