Apprentice Sophie shortlisted in awards final

An apprentice at Fidler & Pepper Solicitors has been shortlisted for an award. Sophie Wise has made it to the finals of the first Johnston Press North Midlands and South Yorkshire Apprenticeship of the Year awards, being held on Tuesday, May 16 at the Showroom Workstation in Sheffield. Photography Exhibition to Light-up Mansfield Town Centre Again...   First Art will light up Mansfield Town Centre with an illuminated photo exhibition this April and May. The exhibition features award winning and internationally renowned artists who have created new work about the people and places of the area. For the I Love Christmas in Mansfield Market - The Nutcracker Wonderland   This November will see a Christmas market with a theme in the Mansfield town centre. A number of brand new chalets will be in place for two weeks on the run up to Christmas.       This will be from Mon 20th November (the day after our xmas switch on event). Success as I Love Mansfield card relaunched

The launch of the new I Love Mansfield has been hailed as a major success for the town centre.   The new card, managed by Mansfield BID (Business Improvement District), was launched on Saturday, coinciding with new Touchpoint voucher and display technology going live too.   Over the weekend, more than 1,000 local residents had signed up using the new  website.   Users can now see more than 200 offers around the town centre which have been placed there by 119 retailers, who can now updated offers whenever they wish.   Used on a mobile phone, this site ...

Mansfield wins bid for National Lottery funding

The Townscape project management team is celebrating after its combined efforts have resulted in a grant of over £900,000 being awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to revitalise one of Mansfield’s best-known heritage areas.   Mansfield Business Improvement District (BID) and Nottinghamshire County Council made the initial approach to the Heritage Lottery Fund for Townscape Heritage grants to apply for a Townscape Heritage grant to repair and restore some of the most iconic buildings along Leeming Street, which forms part of the ‘Market Place Conservation Area’.   The project was then backed by Mansfield District ...
