Mansfield Garden & Craft Festival 2017

Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd September 2017 - 10.30am to 3pm both day.


Gardening Schedules & Best of Baking forms are vailable for this year's annual Garden & Craft Festival, held inside 2 large marquees on Mansfield Market Place. Organised by the Mansfield BID on behalf of The Trustees of the Allotments for the Labouring Poor.


Saturday's show features the Best of Fruit, Vegetables, Flowers and Wine takes place on Saturday with Best in Baking on the Sunday. Cash prizes of £15, £10 and £5 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places are awarded along with medals in each class. 

Cash prizes of £50 are paid to the Best Allotment, Best in Show Flowers, Best in Show Vegetable and the Just for Fun classes along with a trophy. 


There is no entry fee and entries are accepted from allotment growers, novice and children from anywhere in the UK. The only exception if the Best Allotment which is to be from the Mansfield area - NG18 or NG19 postcodes.


A newly added category is 'Our School' where schools are encouraged to show off a collage of pictures of their gardening work, produce or floral designs for a cash prize of £100 for the winning school and runner-up prizes  of £30 & £20. Every school who enters the competition will receive a gardening gift of seeds, tools and useful gardening pots etc.

Entry to the two day festival is FREE and as well as the two competitions there will be a food and craft market with over 50 stalls each day, entertainment, children's free activities and a goody bag to make an apple crumble for the first 100 visitors on the Saturday. The Awards Ceremony takes place on Sunday afternoon for all the winners to receive their prizes.
