Down Town Magazine out now!

The latest edition of the town centre's magazine, Down Town is out now! The magazine features many of the town centre businesses with gift ideas for Christmas, festive foods, fashion, dining out, events and activities and a list of the I Love Mansfield Privilege Card offers. Copies are available at the library, the old town hall between 12.30 - 1.30pm, the bus station, Four Seasons Customer Service desk and selected retailers. Bishop launches Nottingham Credit Unions Corporate Savings Scheme.

On the 17th of October, International Credit Union Day, Nottingham Credit Union officially launched its new corporate savings account, and the first deposit was made by the Bishop of Southwell, seen here handing over a cheque for £5000 to Ella Ferris the General Manager of Nottingham Credit Union, also pictured is Glyn Draper who is a volunteer with the Credit Union. The Corporate savings scheme means that organisations as well as individuals can save with Credit Unions. Fidler & Pepper show that where there's a Will, there's a charity

East Midlands law firm Fidler & Pepper Solicitors is once again backing Will Aid, a national charity initiative being run during November.   During next month, people can make a consultation appointment with specialist solicitors at the firm's offices in Mansfield town centre (and Sutton) and they will not be charged the usual fee.   Instead, people will be asked to make a donation to the Will Aid group of nine charities, which include the British Red Cross, the NSPCC, ChristianAid, Age UK and Save the Children.   Mark Slade, managing partner at the firm, commented: "Will Aid ...

Mansfield Radio Supports Community Charity

Great support for a great charity   Staff and volunteers at the Cornwater Club Charity Shop recently welcomed Mansfield Radio to their shop on Queen Street.  The station broadcast live from the premises throughout the day and talked to staff, customers and business supporters about the shop and the cause it supports.   Tony Delahunty, Managing Director of Mansfield Radio was very impressed with the selection of high quality clothes available for such reasonable prices.  He invited customers and supporters to come into the shop and model an outfit of their choice for the Radio Mansfield Fashion Show. ...
