Thousands came to show their support

It was ‘Thanks & Fun’ all day!   Visitors from all over the county turned out to pay their respects at Mansfield’s Armed Forces Day held on Sunday 26th June.   Mansfield BID and Mansfield DC joined together to bring a fantastic Armed Forces Day tribute event to the town centre to recognise the forces from the past, present and future.   Held in Mansfield Market Place the sun shone as the event got underway with the St Edmund’s Drum and Bugle Corps. Inheritance tax changes mean it’s time to check Wills

People may need to change their Wills following news about changes to inheritance tax that will come into force next year. Richard Howard, a partner at Fidler & Pepper Solicitors, says that people who may have any kind of trust in their Will relating to their home, should seek legal advice. New rules state that, as of April 2017, people will have an additional £100,000 (in basic terms, a total of £425,000 per person) before they pay any inheritance tax, provided that an estate includes a property which has been or is their residence and that property is closely inherited. Lloyds raise thousands for Children in Need

Lloyds Bank colleagues from Mansfield joined forces with 3,000 colleagues across the country taking part in Ready Teddy Bake to raise tens of thousands of pounds for BBC Children in Need, their chosen Charity of the Year partnership.   Colleagues nationwide baked over 5,000 cakes, cup-cakes, pastries and buns to support the charity bake sale event and the Church Street, Mansfield branch raised over £600, including match-giving through its baking and fundraising efforts, including a Pudsey themed show-stopper creation.   Celebrating the bank’s fundraising achievements, BBC Children in Need supporter and former Great British Bake-Off winner Jo Wheatley said “...

Every year the Mansfield BID organise the Garden & Craft Festival which is funded by the Trustees for the Allotments for the Labouring Poor. This year we are pleased to have a brand new category open to all primary & junior schools in the area. LLOYDS BANK MANSFIELD COLLEAGUES SET TO HELP RAISE THOUSANDS FOR BBC CHILDREN IN NEED WITH READY TEDDY BAKE

Lloyds Bank colleagues from Mansfield will join forces with 3,000 colleagues across the country between 18 – 22 April, to bake the world a better place.   Taking part in Ready Teddy Bake, a bake sale fundraising challenge, colleagues are expected to bake over 5,000 cakes, cup-cakes, pastries and buns to help raise over £100,000 for the bank’s Charity of the Year partnership with BBC Children in Need. Fidler & Pepper Solicitors sees demand for its expertise increase   Law firm Fidler & Pepper Solicitors has announced increases in work for its already-busy commercial property teams and its Wills and probate department. Over the past 12 months, the commercial property team, led by partner Christie Limb, has seen an increase of 24 per cent in terms of matters being handled. Local bus driver wins car in Four Seasons prize draw
