Antiques business offers something new for Mansfield

An antiques shop has opened in the centre of Mansfield, launched by a man who has regularly served tea to members of the royal family. Luke Povey has opened Povey Antiques just behind the Old Town Hall, which is undergoing renovation work, and close to the recently-refurbished Crown and Anchor pub. Tip Top Tea Party Comes to Town

BID flies the flag for Mansfield

Vision Expressed to support Macular Society

Vision Express at Four Seasons Shopping Centre, Mansfield raised vital funds on Saturday 11 July for The Macular Society – an organisation supporting central vision loss. The Society launched its first ever awareness week this year in partnership with Vision Express, from 6th – 12th July. SUMMER SURVIVAL GUIDE!

Families in Mansfield district can take advantage of a bigger, better guide to events and activities taking place during the school summer holidays this year. Mansfield District Council has joined forces with The MESS Guide to produce a single summer 2015 What's On guide, which contains details of all events organised by the council, Mansfield BID, leisure centres, children's centres and community groups. Big Change brings Big Store Success!

Hundreds enjoy Purple Flag Party!

Hundreds of people poured into Mansfield town centre on Saturday evening to join in the celebration of the town being awarded Purple Flag status.   Footfall figures show that the number of people in town between 4pm and 11pm on Saturday (April 25) were up a huge 24% during the same period on the Saturday (April 18) before. Among the attractions crowds enjoyed were a steel pan band performance, street performers, a colliery band and a flash mob dance.
