Winner Announced

Congratulations goes to Paul at Forever Young Fancy Dress, Toothill Lane, pictured here with Anna having received their Trophy for coming first in the Best Dressed Window Competition. Over 3000 votes were cast by visitors to the town and to the 'I Love Mansfield' Facebbok page. The 3 runners-up were Hops in a Bottle on Market Street, D'n'G's Hair Salon on Rosemary Street and The Monster Shop on Leeming Street.

Jingle Bell Campaign - Coming Soon !!

The Mansfield BID will be issuing purse dipping jingle bells over the festive period along with crime prevention advice. We want to make sure that nothing spoils this magical time for you by ensuring your purse/wallet stays safe with you at all times.  The bells will be available from the Customer Service Desk in the Four Seasons Centre from Sunday 18th November and during every Thursday late shopping night from 5pm to 8pm from one of the BID Ambassadors as they walk around the town. Don't Bin It!

The Cornwater Club Charity Shop on Queen Street in Mansfield is appealing to businesses to donate their waste textiles to the shop and help raise funds for their old people’s charity and preserve the environment by not sending the items to landfill sites.   These waste textiles, or rags, can be old uniforms, tablecloths, towels, sheets, curtains, even strips of material.  Items which are torn, marked or well- worn are still acceptable. Ron Walker, Chairman said “In these days of corporate social responsibility, businesses can make a positive contribution to charities, at the same ...

Half Price Parking Offer

  Visitors to Mansfield are being offered half-price parking in the town centre on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the next two months. The offer applies to Walkden Street Multi-storey Car Park, which is ideally located in the heart of the town centre between Mansfield Bus Station and the Four Seasons Shopping Centre. It means parking will cost only 50p an hour at the car park on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during September and October. The car park, which has 455 spaces, is open from 8am to 6.30pm. Celebrating 110 years in business

  W Slack and Sons Ltd., Rosemary Street, was established in August 1902 by William Slack, grandfather of the current owner John. Originally the business started making surgical shoes and made to measure footwear. Two of William’s sons Kenneth and Colin carried on the business for many years. Kenneth retired in the 1970’s and Colin continued to run the business until ill health forced him to finish work and the business was taken over by John who had only just turned eighteen.
