Pavement Cafés

Pavement Cafe on Regent Street, Mansfield

If you would like to place tables and chairs outside your town centre premises to form a Pavement Café, you will need Planning Permission from Mansfield District Council and a Highway Amenities Licence from Notts County Council.

All enquiries for Pavement Cafes in Mansfield Town Centre, should be directed initially to the Town Centre Manager, Diana Hobson, who will explain the process, and send you a copy of the Pavement Café Guidance Note & Initial Enquiry Application Form.

The Initial Enquiry process is designed to quickly reveal any possible objections, so that the application can be amended, if necessary, before proceeding to the full Planning Permission stage. Not all locations are appropriate for pavement cafes, and each location will be considered separately.
